Seriz is the local dialect term used to reference serizzo, it’s a stone which was used to build some of the most valuable architectural elements in the brianzole dwellings. Serizzo is also present in close proximity to La Costa vineyards, they are huge erratic boulders which were dragged there during the ice age.

Grapes:

Merlot (minimum 50%), Syrah 12 months in wood, partly in 20 hl barrels and partly in barriques, 6 months in concrete tanks, bottled for at least 10 months.

Production:

6000 bottles

Tasting notes:

The fruitiness of Merlot draws more spiced notes from Syrah.

The wood, which isn’t the most important element, tones down the freshness, which is typical of wines in this area.
