The Vineyards

The 12 hectares of vineyards include very different varieties, but the calcareous soil, rich in minerals, manages to give a common mark to the wines, enhancing aromas, flavor and freshness.

The important temperature ranges that characterize the microclimate of the park are a key element for obtaining wines that know how to express finesse and elegance.

Here the important skeleton and the presence of  rocks sometimes express arid conditions and are the cause of a particular vegetation (life project “lean meadows”), of a viticulture that is certainly not vigorous and very low yields / plant (1 Kg / plant , 40 Hl / ha) in favor of the concentration of wines.

The whole vineyard is arranged on  ancient building terraces which form a steep natural amphitheater in the Curone Valley.

The vineyard is espalier-trained (guyot and spurred cordon) and organically grown; the plant is managed according to the “soft pruning” method.

Out of the rhetoric, the wine starts in the vineyard and the first rule is to respect and value the raw material.

For this reason the grapes of the individual vineyards are vinified separately and the base wines assembled with sensitivity and attention, to better express the desired personality of each individual soil, of each single vintage, minimizing the “external” additions (sulphurous, bentonite …)

The cellar is hopen for guided tours.
