The regional park and the valley of Montevecchia Curone covers 2,400 hectares between the villages of Lomagna and Sirtori, and appears as a series of moraine hills that lead to the elevation of Montevecchia.
The park is heterogeneous: there areas of environmental interest and landscaped to blend human settlements, while living the most diverse architectural expressions.
Through different routes you can discover many attractions of this protected zone; the several hundred plant species, some protected by UE Life project; the vibrant wildlife of the park (foxes, weasels, dormice, hares, buzzards, pheasants and reptiles and amphibians ) with some exception presence made by the kingfisher, from upupa to Lataste rare frog and toad.
The farm buildings, churches, chapels and shrines, built mainly in the XVI and XVII, some villas, among which, at the foot del'imponente Sanctuary Montevecchia, the elegant home of Maria Gaetana Agnesi, mathematics eighteenth century.
